This metal fish is a continuation of me experimenting with metal. I had designed the fish a couple of years ago, but I just recently decided to make it in these materials as well. The fish is made out of copper, carbon steel, and stainless steel. I was able to cut out all of the pieces by first designing each piece in a CAD, or 3-D imaging program, and then cutting out each piece in a CNC milling machine. Afterwards I just did my thing, and put the whole fish together.
I'm really proud of this design, as he seems to mimic the movement of a fish perfectly with the slightest breeze. I made a video to show the movement as well, since pictures really don't do these sculptures justice.
Thanks for stopping by!
